Multiplying Four Digit Numbers One Less Than and Other More Than The Working Base Using Nikhilum Sutra: In this method we take a common base such that one number is less than base and other number is more than the base. Such type of Techniques of Vedic Maths help us to perform calculations in a much faster way. Mastering such type of techniques is very essential in Competitive Exams where time is very precious
For example let us take 1206 and 1198 |  |
Step 1:We will take the base as 1200, then one number that is 1198 is less than 1200 and other number that is 1206 is more than 1200. let the base be 1200 1206 +6 1198 -2 |  |
Step 2: Now, multiply -2 with +6, we get -12. |  |
Step 3: Now, add diagonally 1206 with -2 or 1198 with +6, We will get 1204. |  |
Step 4: Multiplying 1204 with the base 1200 and add -12 Thus, answer is 1444800 - 12 = 1444788 |  |
